Notification of a Claim
You must give written notice that an audit or investigation is to be conducted by a government or statutory authority.


The written notice must include a copy of the notification from the relevant authority that clearly identifies the type of audit or investigation to be conducted. 

You will also need to provide an estimate of fees; proof of the date of lodgement with the relevant authority of the return(s) being audited; copies of the professional's tax invoices and work in progress statements and / or time sheets to support the activities noted on the tax sheet; a copy of the final letter from the relevant authority confirming that the audit or investigation is complete; and details of when you first become aware of the audit or investigation.


GST and Claims

Where you have a 100% Input Tax Credit ACE pays all charges net of GST.
